What Is a Raft?

Inflatable boating and rafting is a sociable, fun and safe way to enjoy exciting rapid rivers and spring water!

Our rafts have 6 seats and there must be 4-6 passengers in one raft. You don't need to have previous experience of water hiking to come on a raft trip. Everything is simple and safe, and the hiking instructor will introduce the technique, tactics and safety rules of paddling before going to the river.

Rafts are ideal for enjoying the pleasures of water hiking on Estonia's most adrenaline-filled and fast-flowing rivers, without fear of tipping over! We recommend trying Võhandu, Piusa, Jägala, Purtse and Emajõgi. The rubber raft is also ideal for multi-day water trips.

Võhandu River Valley - a Hiker's Paradise

The river Võhandu is known for its fast-flowing rapids in the section between Leevi and Reo. The river valley is popular among hikers for its stunning nature and distinctive sandstone outcrops.

The sandstone cliffs are home to plant and animal species including mosses, lichens and birds such as kingfishers and shore swallows. The sandstone outcrops here are important in Estonian history and folklore. There are many ancient legends and stories associated with the area, which our tour guides know well.

The Võhandu River meanders through the picturesque forests, valleys and hillsides of the region. Wild animals can be spotted here, although they tend to spot you and stay away.

The most famous places: Viira mill wall, Süvahavva rapids and wool factory, Uku cave, Põdra wall, Sõjatare and Kalmate wall.
