Fatbiking near Otepää
Most trails are suitable for beginners, but there are also challenging sections for experienced riders. We ride in chatting speed. We take breaks to talk and to get to know the local history, culture, flora and fauna. Then it is off season for skiers, we can go and have some fun by bikes on famous ski trails named after Finland president Urho Kaleva Kekkonen.
In the Otepää, Pühajärve and Kääriku region, there are many bike trails of different lengths and difficulty. The bike paths go around Pühajärv, Kääriku and the city Otepää. We can start the tour from your accommodation or from one of the public campfires if you wish.

Pühajärve Lake and War Oak
Pühajärve is known for its oak trees, oak groves and a lake. There are 5 islands in Pühajärve lake. Sacred trees, which are revered in the region and in religion, are located on Kloostrisaar island and Sõsarsaar island. In winter, you can visit the islands by sliding on a sled, and in summer, for example, by moving on a SUP board. Our hiking guides know many legends about the formation of the lake.
There are exciting trails in the forests by the lake - Murrumets and Armuallikas. According to folklore, the water of Armuallikas spring has healing power and relieves pain. Drinking water from a silver beaker on Midsummer's Eve was supposed to create great and lasting love.
Väike Emajõgi river starts from Pühajärv. There are several swimming spots and picnic areas on the shores of the lake. The surrounding area has plenty of sports complexes and therefore also accommodation. Longer tours in the area can be carried out on a fatbike or e-fat.
